Accessible verticality in Les Menuires

Via ferrata allows you to experience the sensations of the cliff face without the technical background of pure climbing. This discipline, whose name means "iron path", offers a safe progression on the rock thanks to fixed installations. In Les Menuires, this activity transforms the mountain into a route punctuated by rungs, bars, and monkey bridges.

One safety rule prevails during every outing: systematically keep one carabiner locked on the safety cable during your manipulations. At SKI TOP La Croisette, we emphasize this point when handing over your equipment. This is the condition for a permanent connection with the lifeline.

Certified equipment

Mountain safety relies on technical reliability. The use of makeshift equipment is excluded. For your comfort, wear hiking shoes with grippy soles, preferably low-cut to avoid having the ankle blocked.

We have selected equipment from the Climbing Technology brand for our rental kits. Each pack includes a Galaxy helmet, designed for protection against falling rocks, as well as a Discovery harness. The latter is adjusted directly on you in the shop to guarantee a stable fit.

The central element of your safety is the Classic-k lanyard. It incorporates a progressive tear energy absorber. In the event of a fall, this system dissipates the impact force to preserve the physical integrity of the user.

Under the supervision of Alex, each piece of Personal Protective Equipment is rigorously inspected between rentals. We speak French and English to assist you with the adjustments. To prepare your equipment, we need your measurements when booking: height, weight (from 40 to 120 kg), and head circumference. Your equipment is available for pickup from 6:00 PM the day before your outing.

Choosing your route in the Belleville valley

The Vallée des Belleville offers routes with varied profiles. The Via Ferrata du Levassaix, classified as "Slightly Difficult", is suitable for families with children measuring at least 1m40. The route overlooks the village and takes about an hour. It is accessed via the D117, just one kilometer from Les Menuires.
We can also show you how to get there on foot, via a lovely balcony path: starting from Les Menuires, you will make the round trip on foot, no car needed! Of course, it extends the activity a bit: allow 4 hours for the round trip.

The Via Ferrata du Cochet is intended for sporty individuals. Its 750 meters of quartzite cliffs require a sustained effort over 375 meters of positive elevation gain to reach an altitude of 2025 meters. Allow four hours to complete the route from the Plalautray parking lot. It is a physical ascent.
We will give you directions to the parking lot: low-clearance cars are not recommended.

Pushing towards the Courchevel valley, the Lac de la Rosière site offers an initiation over the water. For experienced practitioners, the Croix des Verdons offers high-mountain immersion with 650 rungs to climb facing the Vanoise glaciers.
